New digital sign installed at Schiappa library branch

STEUBENVILLE -- The Schiappa Branch of the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County can now showcase messages outside the library on a new digital sign thanks to the generosity of the Veterans Service Commission of Jefferson County.
"The outdoor electronic signage will allow the library to promote programs and messages for traffic to view. Messages for employment and educational events from the Veterans Service Commission will be promoted as well," said Mike Gray, library director.
Dan Wilson, commissioner of the veterans commission said the board was a great addition.
"We're really looking forward to working with the library to get the word out to Jefferson County veterans that may need and benefit from the services our office provides," Wilson expained. "The commission and library's missions are very similar, the location is fantastic and it just seemed like a great partnership that would help both the library and Veterans Service Commission with marketing, announcements, and just exponentially increase each of our organization's outreach footprint."
The library will host the computer that operates the message board and will meet regularly with the veterans office to plan for future displays and effective communication for the public.
