Work planned on Route 7
STEUBENVILLE -- A portion of the left lane of southbound state Route 7 will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Friday while city workers perform maintenance and remove vegetation, according to public works Superintendent Robert Baird.
Work will be conducted between South Street and the south corporation limit. Traffic will be maintained in the right lane and motorists are advised to use caution while driving in that area.
No delays are anticipated.
School calendar meeting set
WELLSBURG -- The Brooke County Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday to accept comment on the proposed calendar for the 2024-25 school year.
The meeting will be held at the board's office at 1201 Pleasant Ave. before its regular meeting at 6 p.m.
Farmers market vendors sought
WELLSBURG -- The Brooke County Farmers Market has a new coordinator, Tia Graham of Graham Acres Farm and Forge, and those interested in selling locally produced fruits, vegetables and other food at the market are encouraged to attend a meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the Brooke County Courthouse.
