Henry said the additional suspected cases have remained contained to the investigation's initial population, Amish individuals noted to have spent a week together prior to the two cases' confirmation.
The two confirmed cases were both among children who do not attend the public school system, Henry said. Common symptoms of meningococcal disease include fever, headache and a stiff neck, and it may become fatal in unvaccinated individuals.
