Individuals got some exercise at Skateland, a pop-up roller-skating rink placed on Market Street for the Eighties Night First Friday event. Entry to Skateland was free, and skaters could rent skates or bring their own. In addition to skating, there were plenty of slips and spills. The monthly downtown street fair will return on Sept. 1 with a storybook theme.
