John Boilegh showed participants a stone covered in small organisms during the Stream Stomp in Beatty Park Saturday morning. Boilegh is an archaeologist with the Division of Mineral Resources Management in the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and he said that he volunteers at Beatty Park on occasion to teach naturalist lessons and lead tours. The Stream Stomp brought a handful of curious observers up part of Beatty Park's stream to look at the flora and fauna. — Christopher Dacanay
