STEUBENVILLE -- The Steubenville Board of Education will meet in regular session at 6 p.m. today.
The meeting will be held at the board offices, 611 N. Fourth St.
SVRTA board to meet
STEUBENVILLE -- The Steel Valley Regional Transit Authority will hold its regular board meeting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Robert J. Cutri, Modal Center.
Board to confirm ballots
STEUBENVILLE--The Jefferson County Board of Elections will meet Friday to confirm provisional ballots from the Aug. 8 special election, Director Robert Gale said.
The board also will certify nonpartisan candidates and issues for the Nov 7 general election, he said.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the board office, located at 500 Market St.
Friendship Park board to meet
SMITHFIELD --The August 2023 Friendship Park District Board of Commissioners meeting has been rescheduled to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Friendship Park board office.
Planning council to meet
STEUBENVILLE -- The Region XI Planning and Development Council will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday the offices of the Brooke-Hancock-Jefferson Metropolitan Planning Commission, 124 N. Fourth St., second floor.
Discussion will include a review of the region's 2023-2028 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, which is a federal requirement of the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
Form Energy holding hiring event
EIGHTY FOUR, Pa. -- Form Energy will host an open interview day for manufacturing associate positions at its existing facility in Eighty Four.
The event will be held 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott Hotel. The Eighty Four facility has been open since 2021 and operates a pilot manufacturing line to test the company's processes.

Park Board meeting rescheduled
WEIRTON - This month's regular meeting of the Weirton Board of Parks and Recreation has been rescheduled.
The meeting will now take place at 8 a.m.,Aug. 24 in the Weirton Room of the Millsop Community Center.
