Individuals who worked to put on the Fort Steuben Concert Series 2023 had their own time to shine during Thursday's concerts at the Louis Berkman Amphitheater. Rick Witkowski booked the concert series' bands, and his wife Deb served as the series' announcer. On Thursday, however, they were the Traveling Witkowskis, and they gave an enthusiastic performance aided by a band that included a brass section. The Witkowskis were followed by the night's headliners, oldies band The New Pure Gold. Taking a week-long break, the concert series will return on Aug. 17 for a make-up concert featuring Aftermath and their "Experience the Sixties" show. — Christopher Dacanay
