Drugs found in Amsterdam home

STEUBENVILLE — An Amsterdam man taken into custody Friday after illegal drugs and guns were allegedly found in his home, Jefferson County Drug Task Force Capt. John Lemal said.

Lemal said Jonathan Primack, 38, 106 Liberty St., is being held in the Jefferson County Justice Center pending charges.

He said officers executing a search warrant seized about 4 grams of fentanyl, 3 grams of methamphetamine, three guns, a large amount of drug paraphernalia and cash from Primack’s home.

Jefferson County’s Special Response Team and county K-9 units assisted the task force, comprised of detectives from the Steubenville Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, with the search.

Route 2 to be reduced to one lane

WELLSBURG — Beginning Monday, state Route 2 will be reduced to one lane one mile south of Wellsburg, with two-way traffic maintained with temporary traffic signals.

Crews will be working to widen the highway to allow the addition of turn lanes to the new Ohio River bridge under construction.

Inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions could delay the work.

Man charged following altercation

WINTERSVILLE — A Wintersville man has been charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence and resisting arrest following an altercation at his home on Thursday night.

Village Police arrested Jeremy Starr of 147 Parkview Drive after he allegedly injured a man known to him with a sharp object.

The man was transported by the Wintersville Fire and Rescue to Trinity Medical Center West.

Starr is being held at the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of bond.

Follansbee man faces multiple charges

FOLLANSBEE — A Follansbee man has been charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm and gross neglect of a child creating substantial risk of injury following an altercation at his home on March 13.

City Police arrested Bryant A. Sullivan, 31, of 1224 Curtis St. on Monday after a woman known to him reported he head-butted her and held a loaded handgun in her direction and told her to shoot him while a child was nearby.

The case against Sullivan is pending in Brooke County Magistrate Court.
