Campaign stop

Justice Jennifer Brunner was in Steubenville Wednesday to campaign for chief justice of the Ohio Supreme Court, pledging to uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of all Ohioans. On the campaign trail with her at Eastern Gateway Community College were Judge Marilyn Zayas, left, currently serving on the 1st District Court of Appeals, and Judge Terri Jamison, currently serving on the 10th District Court of Appeals. Jamison and Zayas are both running for seats on the state Supreme Court. The three stressed the need for equal protection under the law. Brunner, a Democrat, is running against Sharon Kennedy, a Republican. Jamison, a Democrat, is running against Republican Pat Fischer, and Democrat Zayas is running against Republican Pat DeWine.
