An SUV went left of center Friday on Market Street in Steubenville, clipping another car before striking a bench and then crashing into the War Memorial monument in front of the Jefferson County Courthouse, City Police reported. Officers said the driver, Brittany Devore, 29, 226 McClister Ave., Mingo Junction, was taken by Steubenville Fire EMS to the hospital for evaluation. Devore was driving a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer, police said. The accident remains under investigation. (Contributed/Daycha Wade)
