STEUBENVILLE -- A man wanted in connection with a shooting incident Sunday has been arrested, Steubenville Police Chief Bill McCafferty confirmed Tuesday.
Colin Scott Lee-West, 28, of 755 county Road 19, Mingo Junction, has been charged with felonious assault in relation to the incident on Monday.
According to the original report, police responded to a man being shot Sunday in the parking lot of Harbor Freight Tools.
The victim was transported from the scene by Ambulance Service Inc. and officers located a witness and gathered evidence.
"Detectives discovered who the subject was," McCafferty said. "Steubenville police officers from the (Jefferson County Drug) Task Force went to several places and located him and he surrendered."
John Lemal, task force captain, confirmed the task force assisted with the apprehension and is assisting with the investigation.
"We called out the Jefferson County (Special Response Team) and took him into custody without incident," he said.
He said Lee-West was taken into custody at a residence off of state Route 151 between New Alexandria and Smithfield.
Lemal said the primary investigation into the shooting incident was being handled by the Steubenville Police Department and added Lee-West was being held at the Jefferson County Justice Center without bond, pending arraignment.
