WINTERSVILLE -- Wintersville Mayor Bob Gale verified that a new fast-food restaurant will be coming to the village.

Taco Bell will be coming to an area that once was the parking lot of the now-closed Lancelot's on Main Street.

Weather permitting, Gale said the construction should be completed by August.

"The blocks have already been laid," he said.

He said that the restaurant will bring about 15 new jobs to the area.

The business will add one more option to a row of restaurant and shopping choices that already line that section of Main Street.

"We are an easy-access community," He said. "We are very competitive."

"We are very business friendly. They like our city. They like our rules and regulations. They like our workers," he said. "Businesses do well here."

Gale is optimistic about the rest of the vacant space.

"Hopefully, someone will go in the rest soon," he said.
