Steubenville Police A warrant has been issued for a Weirton man who allegedly fled police trying to pull him over to serve felony warrants already issued for his arrest, Monday. Police report the driver ignored their emergency lights and siren, eventually pulling over at the intersection of Ridge Avenue at McDowell and as soon as the officer exited his cruiser said he “took off at a high rate of speed,” nearly striking another vehicle in the intersection, “reaching speeds in excess of 70 miles per hour” on Woodlawn Road.
