Steubenville Police Two facing charges: A Follansbee man is facing charges after he grappled with a police officer investigating a report of a man in distress Friday evening on the steps to the Market Street bridge while his female companion ended up in custody on drug charges, police said. Steubenville Police Surprise visitor: An Oakmont Avenue resident said she was asleep on her sofa when she awakened to find someone in her home, Thursday. She said she assumed it was a family member headed up to her bedroom and called out several times, but instead a strange man “wearing a hat, jeans and a black shirt came down the stairs into her living room.” The homeowner said when she asked the man who he was he said he was looking for someone and left on foot. The two of them “each accused the other of yelling at and insulting one another,” and their children said “all they heard was both of them yelling and insulting one another,” police said.
