Jefferson County Sheriff Good Samaritan: A man turned in a wallet belonging to a Yorkville man that he had found and it was returned to its owner. Suspicious person: A man was seen walking back and forth along U.S. Route 250 near Adena on Monday morning. Deputies confronted the man, who said he was picking up cigarette butts. Strange creature: A resident reported a possibly rabid raccoon was seen near a trailer park on Cadiz Road Monday morning but before officers arrived at the scene, the resident said it had entered some woods nearby.
