Steubenville Police Family matters: A city resident was booked into the Jefferson County Jail without bond after he allegedly showed up at a family member's Euclid Avenue home for Thanksgiving dinner "heavily intoxicated" and belligerent, Thursday. The hostess said they began arguing shortly after his arrival and when she told him to leave "became all the more upset" and "grabbed a plate full of food and threw it out the back door." Steubenville Police Dog days: A Ridge Avenue woman told police she needed help getting a male to leave her home, Monday. She said the two of them argued because he “let her dogs outside and left them.” When he wouldn’t leave her home, she admits “grabbing his coat and pulling him out of the residence” and claims he “threatened to burn her house down with (her) dogs inside” but there were no witnesses. Steubenville Police Pained: Callers reported a man in the area of Sunset Boulevard near McDowell Avenue “sitting on the sidewalk and possibly needing assistance,” Monday. Callers said he was laying in the grass when they found him. Jefferson County Sheriff Lightning strikes: A woman who a week ago reported two strangers entered her home while she was taking a bath said it happened a second time, Monday. She said she was in the tub again when she heard voices and initially thought it was her children, but when she got out of the tub she saw the men in her house and reports one of them asked her, “How you been” followed by a descriptive term. She said her dog attacked the intruders, biting their hands, arms and thigh until the man struck the dog, causing it to loosen its grip on him. She said she got her gun ...
