Steubenville Police Staking a claim: A Ridge Avenue resident told police a female not known to them was “standing on the porch and refusing to leave,” Monday. The woman was sitting on a porch swing when police arrived and told them she was waiting for a ride. They told her she was on private property, and the homeowner wanted her to leave, so she did. Hit-skip: A resident in the 400 block of North Seventh Street reported hearing a loud crash outside her home, Sunday. Later in the day she discovered her car had been hit.
