Steubenville Police

Took the fall: A Market Street resident was taken to the hospital for evaluation after callers reported an intoxicated male had fallen down a set of stairs in the 4300 block of Earl Drive, Thursday. The man thought he broke his ribs, police said.

Warrants, paraphernalia: A city resident was taken into custody after employees at Rural King spotted her in the store, Thursday. Police said Tamara S. Jones, 45, 2008 Oregon Ave. was charged with misuse of a credit card and two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia. They said Jones had a glass crack pipe of a type used for smoking methamphetamine, along with several small bags with a white or crystal residue. She also had a digital scale with what appeared to be a white powder residue, police said.

Discussion: A Langley Avenue resident said juveniles are harassing her and a family member, directing vulgar language toward them both, Thursday. She said they also walk past her home throwing trash in her yard, leave their bikes on her property and scream at her. She said she followed them onto the Brady Avenue overpass bridge until someone picked them up in a car.

Booked: Erika L. Benitez, 23, 266 Maplewood Ave., Steubenville, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug abuse instruments and a warrant for failure to appear, the paraphernalia I n her backpack “didn’t belong to her and she was dropping it off for a friend.” Also, Stephanie Lauttamus, 35, 305 State St., Steubenville, probation violation, Thursday; April Stanley, 48, no fixed address, warrant for failure to appear, Thursday.
