Grow up: A Pennsylvania Avenue woman told police she was on her porch with her juvenile daughter when another woman walking past her house with her baby and began yelling and screaming obscenities at her, directing a slur to her juvenile daughter, Thursday. She said it's an ongoing issue with the woman and several reports have been filed. She said the woman also has gone to her juvenile daughter's job and "began screaming, yelling and calling her names" at her place of employment.
No respect: A volunteer at Beatty Park stopped an officer on patrol and requested a pair of gloves Wednesday, telling him someone had trashed the men's restrooom. The volunteer said the individual had thrown trash and toilet paper all over the floor and smeared feces on the walls. He needed the gloves to clean up the mess. The officer shared the gloves.

He said he was shooting at a tree. He was advised of the city ordinance in regards to air guns and advised to put it away.
No sense: A resident in the 600 block of Prospect Avenue was advised to clean her dog's feces off the roof that faces her neighbor's residence Thursday. Police told the dog's owner the animal needs to actually go out in the yard to do its business, not on the roof. The neighbor was concerned with the welfare of the animals, police said.
Humor less: A woman in the 1300 block of Euclid Avenue told police a man assaulted her over a joke, Thursday. She said it started as a verbal disagreement that turned physical. Police said they couldn't see any injuries and she wasn't interested in pursuing charges.
Heed the warning: A Grandview Avenue resident ended up at the Jefferson County jail when he ignored police warnings to stay away from his home after causing problems with his female partner and their juvenile son as well as the landlord, Wednesday. Reginald Johnson, 26, 519 Grandview Ave., was charged with being disorderly while intoxicated. Officers responding to the call were told Johnson had left the scene, only to circle back when they went looking for him to tell him to stay away. When they caught up with him, they told him no one wanted him to go to jail but they did want him to leave the residence, which he apparently didn't want to do. He began to yell and threaten individuals in the area, and while speaking with him police said they could smell alcohol on his person.
Not wanted: A man who'd been invited to a friend's place said her boyfriend burst in and hit him in the head and then kicked him while he was on the ground, Wednesday. He had a scrape on his forehead and said he wanted to press charges. When they went to the boyfriend's apartment, he told them he doesn't like the man due to him allegedly being a drug user and said he doesn't want him around his daughter. He denied hitting or kicking the other man, but said he "ran his mouth" so he shoved him across the room. His girlfriend said she was in another room and heard the two of them arguing but didn't see any fisticuffs. Jamie K. Eberly, 44, 180 N. Fourth St., Apt. 811, Steubenville, was charged with assault.

A bystander administered nasal Narcan without success, but she had a positive reaction to a second dose she was given by Steubenville firefighters. A companion told police he thought she'd taken heroin, and she was given a drug treatment form.
Startled: Police were told a catalytic converter was removed from a 2005 Trailblazer parked in the North End, and a few days ago someone tried to remove one from a 2003 Ford Ranger. The cnverter was still on the Ranger, but the exhaust was mostly cut with a SawZall blade broken in the pipe. The would-be thief left a hat and a charger under the vehicle, both of which are now in evidence along with a video.
Pushy: A downtown resident said she was arguing about money with her child's father when he pushed her through a baby gate, sending her to the ground, Thursday. When he left, he took her keys and cell phone, which she wants back.
