Practice makes perfect: Police located two men "boxing and sparring" in the side parking lot outside Naples, Sunday. After taking off their gloves, the men told police they were training for upcoming boxing matches in Thailand and nothing was wrong, but police advised them they'd have to find a practice site "that is not in public view."
Workout etiquette: A woman who was singing loudly and causing a distraction refused to leave a local gym on Sunday, becoming argumentative when the staff asked her to vacate the premises. She left before police arrived.
Grudges: Two people who got in an argument Sunday over a parking space at Hollywood Plaza carried it over into a store. Police said the man was stopped, waiting for a space when the woman began honking her horn. Both parties claimed the other had started yelling at them and the argument continued into the store.
Served: Andrew Lesko, 50, 730 North Seventh St., Steubenville, was taken into custody Sunday on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.

Fighting: Deputies responded to a report of a juvenile assaulting other juveniles at a birthday party, Friday. The juvenile allegedly pushed one girl down and struck another with his forearm, bloodying her lip, before "squaring up" to fight an adult trying to diffuse the situation, other guests reported. Deputies said the youth smelled of alcohol and allegedly admitted he'd been drinking heavily, though he denied wrongdoing and said the girls got in his way so he moved them. The boy, who was found to have been reported as a runaway in a separate report, was taken to the hospital for treatment and then booked into the juvenile detention center for underage alcohol consumption and assault.
Snow bad: Deputies located three juveniles involved in throwing snowballs at cars, people and houses in Mingo Junction over the past week. Officers said they'd received "numerous complaints," and when they found the boys, one kept saying they'd done nothing wrong while another told him to tell the truth and admitted throwing snowballs at vehicles, including a Wells township police cruiser shortly before deputies arrived. The youths were aged 14, 15 and 16, and while deputies were detaining them, Ohio State Patrol and Wells Township officers arrived on scene. While there was no damage resulting from the snowball barrage, deputies said those who called to complained were concerned with the safety hazard posed by vehicles being targeted.
Warmth: A father who told his ex Saturday he couldn't watch their kids while her furnace was out of service called police to tell them the kids were in a residence in the Rayland area without heat. Deputies said when she found out he couldn't watch the children, the woman purchased space heaters to get them by until the repairman arrived. Deputies said the residence was warm and clean.
Loud: A man causing a disturbance Saturday in Island Creek Township told deputies he was having trouble playing football on his Xbox and started yelling at the game.
AWOL: An individual rented a Uhaul truck and didn't return it Friday on its due date, but Ohio State Patrol notified the department they'd been involved in a pursuit involving the vehicle and had recovered it.
Theft: A caller reported the catalytic converter from a vehicle parked at a Warren Township car dealership had been stolen, Friday. The dealership provided security footage, deputies noted.
Suspicious: A Smithfield Township resident reported seeing people in his yard Saturday. Deputies reported seeing footprints in the snow but did not locate anyone.
