Steubenville police
Trespassing: Multiple calls about the same individual led to an arrest and a summons, Sunday. First, police were called to remove a man from a home on the 1300 block of Belleview Boulevard because a resident had viewed him use "narcotics" and no longer wanted him there, the report said. The man was not there when police arrived and they were unable to locate him. Then, police received a call about man damaging property in a vacant apartment on the 500 block of Ohio Street. Police located the man and found him to have an active warrant. Anthony Pathis, 32, 1302 Belleview Blvd., was issued a summons for criminal trespass and served for a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a drug abuse instrument.
Grinch: An Eve Drive resident reported Christmas decorations had been stolen from their yard, Monday. According to the report, the resident said a light-up reindeer and inflatable bear were missing. The resident told police the items were observed to be in the yard at midnight and were gone when they looked outside around 1:30 a.m.

Charged: Daniel J. Hercules, 45, 3381 Windy Hill Road, Wellsburg, three counts of utility theft and two counts of destruction of property, Dec. 24, for allegedly breaking a lock on a water line valve to restore service to his home without paying for it.
