STEUBENVILLE POLICE
Touchy: A handyman tasked with doing some work at a property in the 900 block of Sherman Avenue was at odds Wednesday with a neighbor who didn't want him moving things she'd put in the empty lot so kids could play. She said she had an agreement with the previous owner that she could use the site and she didn't want anyone touching it. The handyman said the owner wanted him to paint the building so he needed to move some things for his ladder. Police said the caller didn't want the handyman to move anything but when she refused to do it herself, they told him to move what he had to. They said he moved eight to 10 tires, several pallets and a plastic playhouse away from the building so he could work.
Skywalker: A dog was "walking around the roof" of a building in the 1200 block of Ridge Avenue Thursday. A juvenile at the location told police the dog broke the screen out of the second-story window and walked out, but secured the dog inside the home.
No wonder: A woman gathering her belongings at a Hill Avenue home where she'd been staying "started to yell and use profanities toward" her Thursday so the tenant told her to leave and pushed her out the door. Police determined she no longer lives there and the owner said the caller is the only one he agreed could live there.
Spinning yarns: A man who was just released from Trinity East was upset Thursday when he found out he had to go back and argued with an individual taking him to pick up a prescription. The driver said the man threatened him "and drew his fist back." The man showed them his discharge papers and claimed a cousin was on the way to take him home but police talked to a relative in Alabama who said the cousin he claimed was going to pick him up is deceased and she owns the house that he formerly lived in and she didn't want him on the property. He finally agreed to go to Trinity West to speak with a doctor.

Also, the alley behind 1329 West Adams St., Steubenville, bags of garbage piled on back porch again plus cardboard boxes and a kitchen appliance; 1303 Wellesley Ave., bags of garbage piled in and around a broken garage door.
