Apple-pumpkin festival set

IRONDALE -- The Irondale Christ Community Church will hold an apple-pumpkin festival from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The menu will include lazy man’s cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and dessert.

Food will be available to eat in or to carry out.

The cost will be by donation.

Pumpkin treats available

WEIRTON -- Christ United Methodist Church 3598 Pennsylvania Ave., is holding a pumpkin treat sale.

Orders will be taken for pumpkin rolls ($15), pumpkin pie ($10) and pumpkin bread ($8).

Call the Weirton United Methodist Charge office at (304) 748-6680 to place your order. Orders will be ready for pick up at the church the week of Nov.20-24. Payment will be due on pickup day.

Autumn Praises Singspiration in Richmond

RICHMOND -- The Richmond Methodist Church, located at 112 S. Sugar St., Richmond, will host its first Autumn Praises Singspiration on Oct. 11, beginning at 7 p.m.

The event will feature several music groups, including Friends, Tom Graham’s Majesty, Doc Roe’s Sweet Harmonies, Starkdale Presbyterian Church Choir, the duo Bob Burns and Jennifer Lawrence and Richmond Methodist Church’s Praise Team.

Admission is free. A love offering will be taken to benefit the Blessing Box, a project of the Richmond Lions Club. The Blessing Box is located at the Lighthouse Church in Richmond and is an outdoor nonperishable food pantry and site for toiletry items.

A variety of refreshments will be served after the event in the church’s fellowship hall.

“Plan to attend this joyful evening of your favorite hymns and hear your favorite groups sing,” a spokesperson noted.
