The students, faculty, and staff at St. Joseph the Worker Grade School got the year off to a fast start. This year, the Diocese of Wheeling Charleston set a school-year theme of "Grow in Grace," and the Rev. Dennis Scheulkens reinforced the theme with the teachings of St. Paul through 1 Corinthians 9:24. The school organized a series of foot races and inflatable obstacle courses, including one with students facing off against Scheulkens. “As followers of Christ, we strive to grow in grace through our commitment to prayer, Sacraments, fellowship, and service. In this effort, St. Paul reminds us to ‘run so as to win!’," Scheulkens said. The school’s parent group contributed with an ice cream sundae bar.
