EAST SPRINGFIELD -- The Town and Country Ladies Golf League held a four-lady scramble on July 29 at Spring Hills Gold Course.
There was a tie for first place with the teams of Veronica Foldi, Signa Findlay and Nancy Lelli; and Jennie Epifano, Cathy Jackson, Dondzila and Rose Kaczmarek.
Coming in third was the team of Megan Evans, Abbey Wilson, Linda Staffilino and Michele Purviance.
The longest drive winners on No.3 were: A-flight, Evans; B-flight, Vicki Brozka; and C-flight Dora Elizaga. The longest drive on No. 7 : B-flight, Brozka; and C-flight Lelli.
Monday Night League
HOOKSTOWN, Pa. -- The women of the Monday Night Ladies League played the front nine at Ponderosa Golf Course.
The play of the day was select drive. The top finishers were Yuko Atwell in first place, Erin Ankrum in second place and Veronica Foldi in third place.
Neysa McCart took the prize for long drive on No. 3. Laura Froehlich was the winner of the prize for closest to the pin on second shot on No 5. Vickie Grant and Janet Backel tied for low putts for the evening.
