Camera club names top finishers

WINTERSVILLE -- The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church.

The first Tuesday is either a workshop where photos are taken using various setups or a PowerPoint presentation from one of the club members. The third Tuesday is a photo competition. There are 10 months with named categories to submit to the competition along with an open category and a special effects category.

Competition is on a voluntary basis, and not required, but membership is a requirement to participate in any competition. All cameras, including cell phones, are acceptable.

The next meeting will be the club’s annual competition, with 16 categories available in which to compete. This competition will be judged by professionals in either the field of art or photography. The annual competition will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 1 at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church.

• August’s named category was Hometown Pride. The results include:
