New polling locations for Froehlich’s voters
STEUBENVILLE -- Two polling sites have been changed because of the sale of Froehlich’s Classic Corner, the Jefferson County Board of Elections reports.
“While these changes were unplanned, the new locations are closer for many residents and offer better accommodations,” Director Bob Gale said.
• The new poll location for voters in Wards 1 and 2 who previously cast their ballot at Froehlich’s is the Main Branch of the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County, 407 S. Fourth St.
Gale said the change doesn’t apply to voters in Wards 1 and 2 who usually vote at Holy Family Catholic Church.
• Voters in Ward 3 will now cast their votes at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center, 905 Market St.
All affected voters will receive an official notification through the mail, he said. In addition to the new polling locations, he said residents may also vote early in person at the board of elections or request a ballot by mail.
Voters are encouraged to verify their polling site prior to election day and review ballot details, both of which they can do by visiting the Ohio Secretary of State’s voter information website at voteohio.gov or by calling the board of elections directly at (740) 283-8522.
