A peachy time in Weirton

Area residents were welcomed to the Masonic Temple in Weirton Saturday for the community's annual Peach Festival, where they were able to partake in a variety of pies, cookies, and savory options, as well as the traditional peach shortcake. Proceeds from the event will benefit a local charitable cause, according to organizers. Held for more than 60 years, the Peach Festival had to be moved this year because of the pending closure of its long-time home - St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
