Town and Country

EAST SPRINGFIELD -- The Town and Country Ladies Golf League held medal play on July 9 at Spring Hills Golf Course.

The winners included: A flight, Signa Findlay, low gross; Kathy Antinone, low net. In B flight, Diane Vandine, low gross and Debbie Hendricks, low net; C flight, Dora Elizaga, low gross and Shirley Guida, low net.

The longest drive on No. 3 was recorded by Abbey Wilson, A flight and Elizaga, C flight. On No. 5, Dorothy Baier had the longest drive for A flight, Hendricks, B flight; and Guida, C flight.

Vicki Brozka was the closest to the pin on No. 8 for A Flight; Hendricks, B flight; and Elizaga, C flight.

Findlay got a birdie on No. 9, and Vandine had a birdie on No. 4. Findlay and Brozka had low putts, 17.

Monday Night League

HOOKSTOWN, Pa. -- On Monday, the women of the Monday Night Ladies League played the back nine at Ponderosa Golf Course.

The play of the day was Find the Fairway. Yuko Atwell finished first, Janet Backel was second and Neysa McCart was third.

Tammy Jackson won the prize for long drive on No. 13. Veronica Foldi won the prize for closest to the pin on second shot on No. 17. Laura Froehlich had the lowest putts of the evening.
