WEIRTON -- The International Senior Club met on July 14 at Undo’s in Weirton.
Carl Truax led the prayer and blessing. Bucky Sims led the Pledge of Allegiance followed by members singing “God Bless America.” A buffet dinner and desserts were enjoyed by the members.
Liz Beecroft introduced new members, Keith LeRoy and Norma Eltringham. There was no business meeting held, but members were entertained by the music of Chuck Lucas. He played and sang a variety of oldies favorites. Truax thanked Deb Bonuito for making the cookie favors for the celebration of our country’s 250th birthday.
Happy Birthday was sung to the July members, Tony LaRosa, Rena Konkle, Deb Bonuito, Michael Runkel and Faith Melto. Liz Beecroft, Rena Konkle and Norma Eltringham gave the jokes of the day.
The following bus tours were announced for 2026. tours include, Oct. 4-10, Branson (Mos.) Show Extravaganza, (six shows and 10 meals); Oct. 10, Rock and Roll Doo Wop, Capital Theater, Wheeling; and Dec. 4, Christmas Show, Capital Theater, Wheeling. The 50/50 was won by Deb Bonuito. The Undo’s gift certificates were won by Karen Welsh and Cindy Richards. Door prize winners were Gene Viola, Carl Truax, Cil Findley, Faye Jones, Shelia Golonkle, Donna Filipowski, Gabe Arlia, Joyce Dobes, Barbara Snyder, Shirley Kirley, Deanne Starr, Marlene Cruz, George Polemen, Rosa Pulice and Ida Provenzano. The Fourth of July wreath made by Regina Truax was won by Laura Mamula.
