ST. CLAIRSVILLE -- The Belmont County Juvenile Court will celebrate the successful completion of its summer Concentrated Conduct Adjustment Program and CrossFit for Change program on Aug. 5 at the Belmont County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
The event will recognize youth who demonstrated commitment, growth and perseverance throughout the 10-week summer initiative.
The summer CCAP program is designed to provide youth with opportunities to strengthen their mental, emotional and social skills through structured programming, positive mentorship and meaningful community engagement.
The program takes a holistic approach to youth development by incorporating physical health and wellness alongside personal growth through the addition of the CrossFit for Change program.
Throughout the 10-week program, participants attended programming and CrossFit for Change sessions two days each week while dedicating two additional days each week to completing community service projects throughout Belmont County.
This balanced approach encouraged youth to develop healthy habits, build confidence, improve decision-making skills and give back to their communities.
Successful completion of both the Summer CCAP and CrossFit for Change programs is based on consistent attendance and active participation. Participants demonstrated dedication by engaging in educational programming, physical fitness activities and community service opportunities that reinforced accountability, teamwork and personal responsibility.
The day will include the "CCAP Games," which are organized by agencies involved in the summer programming and court staff, along with lunch and a certificate ceremony.
The final games will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the graduation certificate ceremony will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Belmont County Juvenile Court extended its appreciation to the community partners, volunteers and organizations whose continued support makes the programs possible.
Their investment in Belmont County's youth provides opportunities for positive growth and lasting success.
Participating agencies include the Belmont County Mental Health and Recovery Board, Kendall Behavioral Solutions, Belmont County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Ohio Department of Youth Services, Belmont County OSU Extension, Community Foundation of the Ohio Valley and Gulfport Energy Corporation.
