WELLSBURG -- Get ready to sing along and feel the beat of country music’s biggest hits when Brooke Hills Playhouse presents “May We All: A New Country Musical,” a heartwarming story packed with small-town pride and massive musical energy.
Co-written by Troy Britton Johnson, Todd Johnson and Eric Pfeffinger, with arrangements and orchestrations by Brian Usifer, “May We All” takes audiences on a journey to Harmony, Tenn. The story follows Jenna Coates, a small-town girl trying to make it big in Nashville, who returns home to discover that the community she left behind might just hold the real music she’s been searching for.X
“May We All: A New Country Musical” is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International and features a jukebox score of hit songs made famous by country music royalty, including:
• Dolly Parton (“Jolene”)
• Reba McEntire (“Why Haven’t I Heard From You”)
• Chris Stapleton (“Broken Halos”)
• Florida Georgia Line (“May We All”, “Simple”)
• The Chicks (“Wide Open Spaces”)
• Johnny Cash (“I’ve Been Everywhere”)
• Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Brooks & Dunn and many more.
The musical we run Thursday through July 12 and July 16 through July 19. Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 8 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.
Historic Brooke Hills Playhouse is located at 140 Gist Lane, Wellsburg, inside Brooke Hills Park.
