UMWA sets meeting

HOPEDALE — UMWA Local 1304 will hold its regular neeting on Saturday at the Hopedale American Legion, 48225 Rabbit Road, Hopedale.

Breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m., with the meeting to follow at 10 a.m.

Retzer to perform at Harmony Church

MINGO JUNCTION — The Ron Retzer Trio will perform their favorite songs at Harmony Church of Mingo Junction, 2119 Commercial Ave. from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. June 13.

The concert is free and everyone is invited to attend.

< strong>Bike and pedestrian meeting set

WEIRTON — The West Virginia Division of Highways will host a public meeting concerning statewide updates to the WVDOH Biking-Pedestrian Plan.

The meeting will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Millsop Community Center. It is open to the public.

Airport Authority to meet

WINTERSVILLE — The Board of Trustees of the Jefferson County Regional Airport Authority will meet in regular session at 3 p.m. Monday, June 8, in the Gary R. Folden Conference Room at the terminal building of the Jefferson County Airpark, 600 Airpark Drive. The meeting is open to the public.

Area students named to Mount Union’s Dean List

ALLIANCE — The University of Mount Union announced its spring 2026 Dean’s List, recognizing students who completed at least 12 credit hours of traditionally graded coursework while earning a grade-point average of 3.55 or higher with no grade below a B.

Local students recognized include Lindsey Bregar of Salineville, Chelsie Daugherty of Toronto, McKayla Dunkle of Cadiz, McKayla Dunkle of Scio, Annabelle Fischer of Scio, Elizabeth Funkhouser of Carrollton, Jordan Hughes of Yorkville, Bayley McClelland of Carrollton, Brayden Medley of Richmond and Logan Shields of Adena.

A total of 740 students were named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester.
