Weir High Drama Club celebrates 10 years with Slapdash! Forever

WEIRTON — The Weir High Drama Club is set to return to the state with a night of improvisational comedy.

Slapdash! Forever (An Evening of Comedy Improv) will mark 10 years with a performance at 7 p.m., May 16.

The anniversary show builds on a legacy of high-energy, unscripted performances over the last decade by local students.

The production is directed by Corey E. Miller, Weir High’s theater director and sponsor of both the Drama Club and International Thespians Troupe 1556. Student stage manager Jayme Utt will help guide the evening’s production.

This year’s cast features Gigi Mastrantoni, Caden Runkel, Andrew Sikora, Hayden Shields, Hannah Swain, Leila Hines, and Lana Sauer.

The performance will also include special appearances by Weir High theater alumni, including past Slapdash! cast and crew members.

True to its improv roots, Slapdash! Forever is entirely unscripted. Audience suggestions will inspire characters, settings, and scenarios, ensuring each scene is created in the moment.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or online through the school’s website.
