Solid Waste Authority Board to meet

STEUBENVILLE — The Jefferson-Belmont Regional Solid Waste Authority Board will hold its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson JBGT building, 228 Technology Way, Steubenville.

Board meetings are open to the public. Officials noted all meetings are subject to change and residents are advised to contact the office the day of the meeting to confirm there have been no cancellations.

Lane restriction planned on W.Va. 88 in Brooke County

West Virginia transportation officials announced a portion of W.Va. 88 at Bealls Ridge in Brooke County will be restricted to one lane beginning June 1 for a slip repair project.

The restriction will be at milepost 2.94 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays through early July. Flaggers will maintain traffic.

Motorists are advised to slow down and expect delays. Officials said inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could alter the project schedule.
