Cross Creek clean-up set
WINTERSVILLE — Cross Creek Township, in conjunction with J.B. Green Team, will have the Community Clean-Up from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Township Garage, 1267 Cadiz Road.
Items that will be accepted include large and bulk household junk items such as non-freon appliances, furniture, gardening tools, grills, carpeting and large plastics toys. Standard car and light truck tires also will be accepted. Tires must be under 54 inches tall and 16 inches wide and no heavy accumulation of water or dirt.
No accepted will be mattresses or box springs, electronics, paints, liquids or hazardous waste, garbage, leaves, construction or demolition materials or household batteries.
Rummage sale at Wintersville Methodist
WINTERSVILLE — Wintersville Methodist Church will hold a rummage sale in the Center for Hope from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The location is 702 Main Street in Wintersville. Organizers said there will be furniture, kitchenware, decor, toys, clothes, books, art, accessories, shoes and more. There will be a concession stand with food for sale.
Jewelry sale set at hospital
WEIRTON — The auxiliary at WVU Medicine-Weirton Medical Center will hold a $5 masquerade jewelry and accessory sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 30 and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 1.
The sale will be held in the atrium of the hospital, which is located on Colliers Way.
