Staff from the Children’s Services Division at the Department of Job and Family Services, along with staff from the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County, donated 40 gift bags to the McCollough Children’s Home in Steubenville Dec. 19. Library assistant Jessica Rouse organized the event and helped deliver the bags and inspire creativity and reading among area youth. Totes were filled with a 3-D fidget toy made from the library’s Makerspace, bookmarks, stickers, supplies to make a book ornament, a Christmas book, hot chocolate and a candy cane.
