Students and staff at the four elementary schools in the Steubenville City School District created winter scenes, which were then reproduced by Nelson Fine Art and Gifts to appear as billboard banners. The idea was suggested by Patrick McLaughlin, a custodian for the school district and an employee of Nelson’s. Winter scenes were the focus of the billboards. Above, works were created by those at Pugliese West Elementary and Wells Academy. At bottom, a cup of hot cocoa and gingerbread village were the subjects of those at McKinley STEM Academy and Pugliese East Elementary.
