Library announces activities

STEUBENVILLE — The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County has announced the following events and activities scheduled for the week of Feb. 1-7.

Adults: The Deep Dive Book Club will take a closer look into the writing of Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s work “The Little Prince,” at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 3 and Feb. 17. Register to attend or join the club.

Teens: Make a craft at home with the library’s Valentine grab-and-go activity, beginning Feb. 2, while supplies last.

Adena Branch (740) 320-0009

Children: Take home a grab-and-go craft or Story Time beginning Feb. 2, while supplies last.

Parents can bring their children, ages 2-4, to Tot Time at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 2. The activity offers stories, rhymes and songs. Register to attend.

Children ages 5 through 10 can attend Story Time. The event will be held at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 2. The activity offers stories and an art activity. Register to attend.

Children: Have story time at home whenever it is convenient when you pick up a grab-and-go Story Time, beginning Feb. 2, while supplies last.

Children: Take home a grab-and-go craft or Story Time beginning Feb. 2, while supplies last.

Children: Tot Time will he held for those between the ages of 2 and 4. Listen to stories and sing songs on any of the following days: 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, including Feb. 3, Feb. 10, Feb. 17 and Feb 24; and at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, including Feb. 4, Feb. 11, Feb. 18 and Feb. 25.

Play and Learn the Alphabet will be offered for parents and their children, ages birth to 4 years old. Encourage children to love the library at a young age while they play with toys that promote alphabet knowledge. Stop by the library at 5 p.m. on Feb. 5 or at 10 a.m. on Feb. 6.

Adults: Bring your crochet project to the library to work on in the company of others at 6 p.m. Feb. 4. Enjoy chatting with others and eating snacks. The activity is not an instructional program.

Tiltonsville Branch (740) 314-4280

Children: Have story time at home whenever it is convenient. Pick up a grab-and-go Story Time activity beginning Feb. 2, while supplies last.

Toronto Branch (740) 537-1262

Children: Tot Time will be held for parents and their children, ages 2 through 4, at 4 p.m. on Feb. 4 and Feb. 18. Register for the event which allows children to listen to stories and sing songs.
