Library announces activities

STEUBENVILLE — The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County has announced its upcoming activities and events scheduled for the week of Jan. 18-24.

Decorate a book using diamond art supplies at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 19. Bring a book or the library will supply one for you. Register to attend.

Adena Branch (740) 320-0009

Children: Play and Learn the Alphabet will be held for parents who have children between the ages of 2 and 6 at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 19.

Make a snow measuring stick and bookmark at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 19. Register to attend.

Brilliant Branch (740) 314-4309

Children: Pick up a grab-and-go bag to make a winter craft beginning Jan. 19, while supplies last.

Bring your children, ages 2 to 4, to Tot Time at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 22. Listen to stories and more.

Dillonvale-Mount Pleasant Branch (740) 314-4310

Adults: Book club will meet at 10 a.m. Jan. 20 to discuss “The Story of Beautiful Girl,” by Rachel Simon. Call to meet new people and engage in conversation.

Children: Play and Learn the Alphabet will be held for parents who have children between the ages of 2 and 6 at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 22.

Teens and Adults: Get ready for a chilling evening filled with adventure, fun and detective work. Murder at the Ski Mountain will take place at 5 p.m. Jan. 21. The activity is for adults and teenagers 16 years og age and older. Registration is required.

Adults: Join us for a creative visioning workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 24. The program will be facilitated by Lisa Mort of Compass Breathwork and Coaching and blends guided reflection along with mindset coaching to help clarify your vision and take powerful steps toward the life you want to live. Register to attend.

Children: Tot Time, a program for children ages 2 to 4, will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the month. Listen to stories and sing songs during the activity. Stop by the library at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Jan. 20 and Jan. 27, or at 10 a.m. on Jan. 21 and Jan. 28.

Play and Learn will be offered for parents who have children between the ages of birth and 4 years of age. The activity encourages children to love the library at a young age, while playing with toys that promote alphabet knowledge. Stop by the library to join in the fun at 5 p.m. Jan. 22 or at 10 a.m. on Jan. 23.

Children: Pick up a grab-and-go bag beginning Jan. 19 to make a winter craft. Bags will be available while supplies last.
