Quartet to perform for club
WHEELING — The Thursday Music Club will welcome the John Marshall Saxophone Quartet for a special performance at 11 a.m. Feb. 5 at the Char House on the Boulevard in Bethlehem.
Formed during the fall, the quartet features four local musicians: Zakk Wells, Alina Holliday, Kingsley Zheng and Gianni Oliveto, who are lef under the direction of music educator Tracy Filben.
Filben’s career in music education spans three decades. Audiences can expect a diverse and engaging program highlighting a wide variety of saxophone quartet repertoire, according to club officials.
Dinner will be served by the Char House following the entertainment. The cost for the meal is $20. Reservation should be made no later than Sunday by calling Sandy Smith at (304) 242-1628.
The club welcomes anyone who has an interest in music to join at any time. Annual dues are $20.
Dueling Pianos event set
STEUBENVILLE — Seven Ranges Entertainment will present its second-annual Dueling Pianos, Keys to the Party event on Feb. 6.
Located at 100 Mall Drive in Steubenville, doors will open at 6 p.m., with the show beginning at 7 p.m.
Celebrating its customers, 7 Ranges will offer a cocktail hour in addition to the show.

The cost for tickets will be $50 for two tickets and a duet hightop table, $25 for a general admission sing-a-long seat, $200 for keys tables which can include up to 10 guests and $225 for VIP piano lounge table which includes the best view and premium seating for up to 10 guests.
Recipe Club to meet
WELLSBURG — For those who love browsing through cookbooks and trying new recipes, the Brooke County Public Library is offering an adults-only Recipe Club.
Every month will have a different theme. Members will choose a recipe, make it and then bring it to the library to share with others, along with a copy of the recipe.
Swap recipes and engage in fellowship during the get-together.
The next meeting will be held at noon Friday in the River Room. The theme will be “Super Bowl Party Foods.” Bring your recipe to share. Registration is not required. For information, call (304) 737-1551.
PERI to meet
STEUBENVILLE — Members of the Public Employees Retirement Inc., District 9 Jefferson County Chapter will hold their next meeting at 10:45 a.m. on Feb. 11 at Froehlich’s Classic Corner in Steubenville.
All members are encouraged to attend the meetings, officials noted.
Democratic Women to meet
WELLSBURG — The Brooke County Democratic Executive Committee and the Brooke County Democratic Women will hold meetings beginning at 6 p.m. on Feb. 12 at the Wellsburg Library.
The evening’s special guest will be Mike Robinson, a Brooke County Candidate for the House of Delegates, District 3.
All Democrats are welcome to attend.
Mineworkers to meet
HOPEDALE — United Mine Workers of America Local No. 1304 will hold its regular meeting at 10 a.m. Feb. 7 at the Hopedale American Legion, located at 48225 Rabbit Road in Hopedale.
Breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m.
