Officials cancel Italian festival
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Mother Nature has once again canceled the Upper Ohio Valley Italian Heritage Festival, that was scheduled for Sunday at Undo’s West in St. Clairsville.
Officials announced because of potential winter weather, the event, which was rescheduled for Sunday because of inclement weather in December, has been canceled.
A new date has not been announced.
‘Signfeld 2040’ coming to area
STEUBENVILLE — Mystery Theater Unlimited continues its 30th season of original interactive comedy with performances of “Signfeld 2040,” a futuristic parody mystery that remains about nothing, while finding entirely new, technologically-advanced ways for everything to go wrong.
The production blends Mystery Theater Unlimited’s signature audience participation with sharp satire, fast-paced comedy and a mystery that unfolds through clues, character interactions and audience detective work.
Guests are not just spectators, they are drawn directly into a world where nothing matters, until suddenly … it does.
Public performance sates and reservations include: River City Restaurant, Wheeling, 6:30 p.m. today, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13 and 6:30 p.m. March 27, reservations can be made by calling (304) 280-8681; Scaffidi’s Restaurant and Tavern, Steubenville, 6:30 p.m. Saturday, reservations can be made online at scaffidicatering.com/murdermystery; the Rebekah, 7 p.m. Feb. 6, reservations can be made by calling (330) 314-8335; and Grand Vue Park, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 28, reservations can be made by calling (304) 845-9810, Ext. 403.
The performance at the Rebekah is not a dinner theater engagement. Those attending are encouraged to bring their own beverages.
Cast members include Pete Fernbaugh, Sean Decker, Sadie Varlas, Butch Maxwell and Dustin Heavilin. Brenden Sheehan sometimes performs, officials noted.
