Cemetery association to meet

EAST SPRINGFIELD — The East Springfield Cemetery Association has announced it will hold its annual meeting beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The meeting will take place at the East Springfield Community Recreation and Service Center.

According to officials, activities associated with the cemetery throughout the year 2025 will be reviewed and summarized.

Among the morning’s discussions will be those individuals who are going to be responsible for the oversight and maintenance of the cemetery during 2026, as well as the distribution of assignments.

All area residents are invited to attend the meeting.

Auxiliary to hold Saturday sale

WEIRTON — The American Legion Post 10 Ladies Auxiliary in Weirton will hold a soup and sandwich fundraiser from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The sale will take place at the post, located at 3140 Pennsylvania Ave.

Dine-in or carryout options will be available.

Homemade soups to be sold will include: Chicken noodle, ham and bean, stuffed pepper, vegetable beef and wedding soup.

Sandwiches to be offered includes tuna salad, chicken salad and ham salad.

An assortment of desserts will be available for purchase as well.

The event is open to the public.
