WHEELING — Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack is planning a special New Year’s Eve party on Wednesday entitled Disco Countdown 2025.

The event will feature a variety of entertainment, promotions and dining specials to welcome in the new year with style.

Among the evening’s highlights will be promotions, including a T-shirt giveaway from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the racing lobby.

Those who make a racing wager will be able to claim a free T-shirt.

Table games hot deals will run from today through Thursday. One winner will be selected every half hour to receive $100 in value checks, officials announced.

Hours for the table games hot seats will be from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. today; noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday; and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday.

A Wristbands to Cash Drawings event will take place between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the Party Pit, located by the buffet area.

Every hour, 10 winners will be chosen to win $250 in free play. Those who are enrolled in the Lucky North Club will have an opportunity at 10 p.m. to win $1,000 in cash.

Six people will be selected to choose an envelope, with two winners receiving $5,000 free play and four winners receiving $500 free play.

Beginning at 11 p.m. Wednesday, the countdown to the new year will take place near the Lucky North Rewards desk, according to officials. Multiple drawings are scheduled to be held, leading up to a grand prize drawing at 1 a.m.

The winner will receive a 2026 Dodge Ram 2500 Warlock, provided by Elm Grove Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

In addition, 10 winners will be chosen to win $100 in free slot play every half hour beginning at noon on Thursday until midnight.

Entertainment for Disco Countdown 2025 will feature Eli and the Mojo Kings.

The free performance will begin at 9 p.m. Wednesday, with doors opening at 8:30 p.m. A balloon drop and champagne toast will take place at midnight.

Free entertainment will be offered on the casino floor by the buffet area at 9 p.m., with disc jockey Daner spinning tunes for those in attendance.

Officials stated among the evening’s timeless memories planned will be party favors and a photo booth with a special photo backdrop.

The party favors will be available from 10 p.m. to midnight at various locations, including the Island Stage and Party Pit areas.

Guests will have an opportunity to capture their own “groovy moments” in the gaming resort’s photo booth beginning at 6 p.m. and continuing through midnight outside of the showroom area.

Dining specials to be offered Wednesday include a pick three meal for two people at the cost of $34.99.

The special will start at 11 a.m. and continue until midnight at the Cask and Clover Kitchen and Bar.

From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, a dinner for two at the Pointe Sea and Steak restaurant will be $129.99 and feature a special menu.

A buffet special will run from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, consisting of a steak and seafood extravaganza for $64.99.

A New Year’s Day brunch will be offered for $29.99 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Thursday.

Live racing will take place Wednesday, with post time beginning at 1 p.m.
