The Jefferson County Veterans Association made a donation of 100 boxes of pasta and 60 jars of sauce to the Friendship Room in Steubenville on Wednesday. The donation, secured by JCVA Cmdr. Frank Santa, was accepted by Friendship Room Coordinator Liam McGovern. Those on hand for the presentation included, from left, Roger Sibson, Friendship Room representative; Dave Rhodes, JCVA member; Tony Phillippi, JCVA finance officer; Barry Bardone, JCVA adjutant; Tom Hutkay, JCVA sergeant-at-arms; and Fred Tarr, JCVA vice commander. McGovern posted a thank you to the group on the Friendship Room’s Facebook page, which people can view for updates and the current needs of the organization.
