Honoring alumni
Seniors at Steubenville High School recognized alumni who served in World War II by placing a wreath on a plaque in the building. The wreath was given as part of the Wreaths Across America event, a tradition that remembers and pays tribute to veterans. The long-standing tradition was begun by the Class of 1950, who raised funds to purchase a plaque commemorating classmates who gave their lives in service. Students enlisting in the service who honored past veterans included,
Cole Bowers, left, who has committed to attending the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and R.J. Barr, who has enlisted in the Army.
