Holding court
Seniors enrolled in the criminal justice program at the Jefferson County Vocational School had an opportunity to watch the Steubenville Municipal Court in action during a tour of the building. Students viewed Municipal Court Judge John Mascio in session and had the opportunity to view the court through the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department’s viewing system at the city’s jail. Mascio took time to explain the court process, while Lt. John Lemmel of the Steubenville Police Department spoke to seniors about being a law enforcement officer. Taking part in the tour were, from left, front, Madison Herden, Brookelina Grigsby, Oktober Cope and Audrey Nutter; and back, Paige Casto, Darrell Dunbar, Mascio and Lemmel.
