Toronto native creates documentary

ELKINS, W.Va. — Former Toronto resident Tim Tye has created a documentary which explores the “deep spirituality of John Denver’s words and music.”

A talent agent and manager in Nashville, Tye made the big-time before moving to the mountains of West Virginia, where he now works as an artist and filmmaker.

The short film is entitled “The Spirituality of John Denver’s Words and Music and How it Spoke to My Soul.”

The documentary explores the wisdom woven throughout Denver’s lyrics, according to Tye, and how his worldview shaped Tye’s own life — blending biography with tribute in examining Denver’s songs.

“I live to inspire and to be inspire,” Tye stated. “It appears that I’ve been successful in conveying some good vibes for some folks with my films. I am happy. My aim is to make more people happy.”

The 33-minute film is streaming on YouTube and can be viewed by visiting youtu.be/YQaX1HiExD8.
