Jewelry sale continues today
WEIRTON — The Weirton Medical Center Auxiliary will continue its $5 masquerade jewelry sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. today in the center’s atrium area. All proceeds will go toward the annual check presented by the auxiliary to hospital officials for use throughout the facility.
Pet photos set for Saturday
WEIRTON — Pet Supplies Plus in Weirton will be the site where animal owners can bring their pets and have their photo taken with Santa Claus. Sponsored by the Hancock County Humane Foundation, the fundraiser will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the pet store, located at 250 Three Springs Drive in Weirton. The cost is $15 and includes printed and digital photos. All of the money raised from the photo shoot will go toward helping homeless animals.
Auxiliary bake sale set for Sunday
WEIRTON — The American Legion Post 10 Ladies Auxiliary in Weirton will hold a holiday bake sale from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday. Located at 3140 Pennsylvania Ave., the cost per dozen will be $9 each.
Baked goods will include: Sugar cookies, Rocky Road candy, pizzelles, gingerbread men, pecan tassies, brownies, Italian lemon twists cookies, spritz, Winter Wonderland cookies, monster cookies and cranberry cookies.
Change in date for clothing donation
WEIRTON — The Weirton Chapter of Church Women United has announced all clothing items that are to be donated by the women will be collected at 1 p.m. on Monday rather than Dec. 18. Clothing can be taken to Shiloh Apostolic Faith Assembly Church, located at 3000 Weir Ave.
Students to hold holiday bazaar
WELLSBURG — The Brooke High School Art Department will hold its third-annual Holiday Art Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 13 in the front cafeteria of the school. The event is open to the public with free admission.
A variety of hand-crafted items will be for sale, along with baked goods, wearables and items suitable as gifts. Food will be sold by the Brooke High School Band. Face-painting will be available, as well as a Chinese auction and 50/50 drawing.
Chamber to hold open house
STEUBENVILLE — The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce has announced it will hold its holiday open house from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday. Hosted by the Rink at Franciscan Square, the event is being sponsored by Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Join chamber members and guests for hors d’oeuvres and holiday spirits, hot chocolate, a visit from Santa and ice skating.
