Library to offer holiday crafting
CADIZ — The Puskarich Library in Cadiz will be showcasing how to create various holiday crafts which can be used as gifts, as well.
The library will offer a chance to design your own holiday cards using Canva. The lesson will begin at 6 p.m. on Dec. 1.
Officials will cover the basics of creating the templates, share design tips and offer suggestions for where to print your finished cards.
Laptops will be available for participants to use, although officials noted it is recommended bringing your own device to receive the best experience possible.
The library will instruct guests on how to make a wooden snowflake ornament at 5 p.m. on Dec. 9.
Attendees will paint their ornament, select a vinyl decal to apply and then add on the finishing touches to create their personalized snowy accessory for their holiday tree.
The library will hold a lesson for those interested in making their own winter-themed soaps. The session will take place at 5 p.m. on Dec. 16.
Those participanting will choose a scent and select a color for their bar of holiday soap.
Prepare for the new year by creating a custom journal at 5 p.m. Jan. 6. Decorate the cover of your journal and get ready to start writing resolutions or whatever you are interested in writing about in 2026.
Reading Between the Wines is a book club for lovers of books and wine. The library has partnered with Ohio Valley Winery in Cadiz to host this wine and read book club.
The club meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month at Ohio Valley Winery.
Upcoming dates are Dec. 11 and Jan. 8.
